Hey Mister Universe

can you hear me?

When you look down

what do you see?

We call to you

by many different names

Even though

our thoughts and prayers

are mainly the same

Divided we can be

did you know the Baptists alone

have over 200 denominations to honor thee?

Do you wonder why we fight

and wallow in our plight?

Do you feel sad when

you witness all the drama

all of those that are mad?

You bestowed upon us

FREE WILL

and the power of choice

Yet those who choose the dark side

revel in taking our voice!

Others choose strength and virtue

integrity and faith

Knowing our FREEDOM to CHOOSE

is not in any man’s power to determine our

FATE

I ask you to hear me today

as I pray for those

who’ve gone astray

I pray for souls

mired in hate and pain

PLEASE let them know

they have NOTHING to gain

You are honored and revered

in so many ways

Our love for you must outweigh

those who use you

for their agenda & personal gain

I promise you on this day

to NEVER allow

my faith to be swayed

To always remember I am loved and NEVER alone

To live up to the mission

you embedded in my unique code

To pass along your message

through love and empathy

Until I begin my passage home
