Dodging Curve-balls

What an amazing day
The kind that flows
Where balance is abundant
Life shimmering with gold

For moment I thought
I might say that today
Was indeed what you
Would call a perfect day

I stopped short
Of saying it out loud
Didn’t want to rock the boat
Or act too proud

Even went back
Rehashed my steps
Trying to commit to memory
How to stack this deck

The only difference
Was my perspective …
As the phone rang
Shattering the collective

Feelings of bliss and relaxation
Out the door
The crisis so far away
I had no idea
what was in store

Yet, as time passed
Solutions were found
Not a tear was shed or
angry words thrown around

Then in a moment of silence
I realized I must
Always cling
To that place inside my soul
Helping me accept the
Twists and turns life brings

I was going to post something funny today, but the Universe knows better apparently

A lot of people I’ve seen this week are out there like me realizing, finally, there is a way to survive in this world on our creativity. Another group is great at marketing, social networking and sees this as a fun way to help others and make money.

Now, not everyone is this way. Those who are can surely stand out, and do.

 Here’s  the thing
I’m reading advice on a comment for a plug in, I’m reading the advice from
people like Mr. Brondoni and the plethora of other wise, experienced marketers and experts.
AND I DIDNT DO ANY OF IT
I forgot tags, I signed up to have tweets and posts auto-generated (and forgot to use them)
I missed prime “tweet” times, even with notifications
and just winged it
Now don’t get me wrong, I still worked hard
Just Differently
I was REAL, I posted what FELT needed to be posted
I yanked Titles out of the air, because I’ve never been good at labels ( no tags lol)
I opened notebooks, boxes, digital files and took what was originally
MY PERSONAL WONDERLAND
And was convinced to bare my soul to the world {thanks Nicolas :-}
This blog wasn’t meant to be the focus. I wasn’t even going to promote it
I didn’t want to let anyone see this stuff, let alone the world!
And when I went on Twitter, I looked for people who interested me. I clicked on their websites,
I learned what they were about. I followed people who would positively influence me, inspire
me, teach me and encourage my path,
and then BOOM! A flood of super cool, interesting and creative people showed up! It’s fantastic!
Over 150 new followers in 10 days because of
THE REAL WAY 
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m learning how to play the SEO / Marketing / Social Media game
I have to, as do we all. But what is great about it is it gives all of us INTROVERTS a means
and a way to accomplish this. We don’t sell, as much as our ENERGY is what draws others in.
And out in the public, that can be draining. On the Internet, there is a boundary
and it IS POSSIBLE
to convey authenticity, even with that boundary.
The KEY is helping each other out, because we know we all have room for inspiration, and
this is a HUGE ocean of possibility. Yes, it helps to know the scientific side and incorporate it
into our mission , and at the same time, still being the person who signed up with
NO FOLLOWERS, NO LIKES, NO 1+’S, NO FAVORITES
Find your own followers, learn about them, help their cause and be gracious and thankful
 There  is only so much time in a day, I know. It’s getting harder for me to keep up as the
recognition blossoms. In spite of it all, I still feel the way to go is the opposite way
Sure, Keywords, Tags, SEO optimization are all great things. We need to market
and advertise if we want to eat and pay the utilities, etc.
It’s the realism that will keep it all alive in the end. Don’t lose sight of why it all started
and what you are going to contribute back to the Universe.
If you do, your house of cards may rattle or fall.
